Update for Our Valued Patients
To our patients and parents:
Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks hearing and learning about the coronavirus, COVID-19 which was born in China and how it is impacting our world and now our daily lives here in Parsippany NJ.
At Caggiano Orthodontics, the safety of our patients, families, team, and community is our utmost concern. We are closely monitoring the current and dynamic situation and are following guidance from public health officials and government agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. As of Monday March 16th, 2020, public schools are closed to help prevent the proliferation of cases of coronavirus.
We have always practiced universal precautions at the office and do our best to take extra steps and precautions to ensure practice cleanliness and safety, and now we are instituting additional measures at this time.
In order to be more proactive, we feel very strongly that the right thing to do is to close the practice and reschedule appointments to a later date when we know more about the current status of the coronavirus.
Rescheduling may seem like an inconvenience, but there are individuals who are at higher risk that can be more affected by decisions to ignore recommendations of the CDC and our office. Keep in mind, that delays of a few weeks or even a month or two has absolutely no effect on the outcome of orthodontic treatments. It is simply a nuisance, which at this point in time if that’s the worst thing that happens, it is a blessing.
We miss seeing all of our patients and are closely following the CDC and NJ State Board of Dentistry recommendations in order to evaluate when it is safe to open back up for patient care. There will likely be some delays if there are large amounts of appointments being rescheduled or if we continue the closure into the following weeks.
Please do not call our office to reschedule. We will be in contact with you and we will be sure to prioritize appointments in the order in which you were canceled.
Though we are closed for patients, our administrative team is still here to answer phones and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Current administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm.
Thank you for your understanding and stay healthy,
Dr. David Caggiano
